We are passionate about children’s rights to quality education and care. Our beliefs and practices stem from four key themes; learning through and about nature, nurturing strong relationships, and nourishing individuals so that together we flourish.
Nature
We are strong advocates for learning through nature and play. Our centre has an idyllic bush backyard, beautiful deciduous shade trees and attracts an abundance of wildlife from birds and insects to lizards and even the occasional echidna. It is a place for children, families and educators to learn and grow within a homelike, natural setting. We promote sustainability and respect for our environment which includes the land, water, animals and people within our community.
Nurture
We understand that respectful relationships are the very heart of early childhood education and care. Our interactions are warm and genuine helping children nurture a sense of identity and belonging. We welcome everyone into our Little Nippers community. We value the diversity of experiences and perspectives derived from differences. We work in partnership with the wider community to encourage inclusion within our curriculum.
Nourish
Our team is committed to providing stimulating activities to challenge and practice skill development. We base our curriculum on the interests and capabilities of each and every child, as well as the elements that make up our diverse and unique community. Our families, history, cultures, architecture, and environment as well as our social, sporting, religious groups, all cultivate who we are and the education we provide. Our programs are real and relevant, fostering good health and high expectations for all.
Flourish
We believe that quality early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong learning. When we work together, and with the best interests of all children at the heart of our decisions, children have the ideal environment to grow, to flourish and succeed.
